Music for the Soul
As the night winds blow softly through the leaves on the trees,
There comes and echo of delightful tunes
Moving like the waves of the sea.
As the rain hits the old tin roof,
It reminds me of a drummer banging on his drum.
The louder he bangs, the more your heart yearns.
The violin in the distance plays a happy tune,
All the while you gaze up at the moon.
But not a moment too soon.
The guitar’s bass comes through with a thunderous boom,
As I notice other people enter the room.
I patiently wait for the next melody to tickle my ears.
Much to my surprise,
I was brought to my knees.
By the sweet sound of the saxaphone,
That made my eyes tear.
Never a melody could ever sound as sweet,
Without being brought up from the soul so deep.
The best sound of all is the music from the soul…
